TL;DR: Shea kernel fats from West African provenances contained, in general, higher levels of high-melting TAGs such as SOS, and higher amount of TEs than those from East African provenance, and no striking regional difference was observed.

TL;DR: Three jasmonate derivatives isolated from the MeOH extract of defatted shea kernels exhibited potent melanogenesis‐inhibitory activities in α‐melanocyte‐stimulating hormone (α‐MSH)‐stimulated B16 melanoma cells and reduced the protein levels of MITF, tyrosinase,TRP‐1, and TRP‐2 mostly in a concentration‐dependent manner.
