Psychological therapies for chronic post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults
TL;DR: The evidence showed that individual TFCBT and EMDR did better than waitlist/usual care in reducing clinician-assessed PTSD symptoms, and thatindividual T FCBT, EMDR and non-TFCBT were more effective than other therapies.

Psychological interventions for post-traumatic stress disorder and comorbid substance use disorder: a systematic review and meta-analysis
TL;DR: There is evidence that individual trauma-focused psychological intervention delivered alongside SUD intervention can reduce PTSD severity, and drug/alcohol use, and there is very little evidence to support use of non-trauma-focused individual or group-based interventions.

Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Multiple-Session Early Interventions Following Traumatic Events
TL;DR: Trauma-focused CBT within 3 months of a traumatic event appears to be effective for individuals with traumatic stress symptoms, especially those who meet the threshold for a clinical diagnosis.
