Journal ArticleDOI

A new ursane-type triterpenoid glycoside from Centella asiatica leaves modulates the production of nitric oxide and secretion of TNF-α in activated RAW 264.7 cells.

TL;DR: One new ursane-type triterpenoid glycoside, asiaticoside G, potently inhibited the production of nitric oxide and tumor necrosis factor-α with inhibition rates of 77.3% and 69.0%, respectively, at the concentration of 100 μM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Folate attached, curcumin loaded Fe3O4 nanoparticles: A novel multifunctional drug delivery system for cancer treatment

TL;DR: In this article, the role of folic acid as a targeting factor on magnetic nanoparticle Fe 3 O 4 based curcumin loading nanosystem was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM).
Journal ArticleDOI

Pentacyclic triterpenoids from Mallotus apelta.

TL;DR: A new triterpene and six known pentacyclic terpenoids were isolated from the methanol extract of the dried leaves from Mallotus apelta and their structures were determined to be 3α-hydroxyhop-22(29)-ene, hennadiol, friedelin, friedelanol, and epifriedelanol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aporphine alkaloids, clerodane diterpenes, and other constituents from Tinospora cordifolia.

TL;DR: In this paper, the methanol extract of Tinospora cordifolia aerial parts led to the isolation of four new and seven known compounds, including two aporphine alkaloids and a new phenylpropanoid.
Journal ArticleDOI

New anti-inflammatory cembranoid diterpenoids from the Vietnamese soft coral Lobophytum crassum.

TL;DR: Four new cembranoid diterpenes lobocrasols A-D, were isolated from the methanol extract of the soft coral Lobophytum crassum and the transcriptional inhibition of these compounds was confirmed by a decrease in cyclooxygenase-2 and inducible nitric oxide synthase gene expression levels in HepG2 cells.
