Tailor‐made poly(ethyl acrylate) by atom transfer radical polymerization

TL;DR: In this paper, atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of ethyl acrylate (EA) was carried out using different initiators, CuBr or CuCl as catalyst in combination with different ligands e.g., 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) and N,N,N′,N″N″-pentamethyl diethylenetriamine (PMDETA).
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel ionomeric polyurethane elastomer based on ionic liquid as crosslinker

TL;DR: In this article, a novel ionic liquid crosslinked flexible polyurethane elastomer (PUIL) was successfully synthesized by a one-pot polymerization method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimicrobial cotton fibre coated with UV cured colloidal natural rubber latex: A sustainable material

TL;DR: In this article, a simple approach to develop an antimicrobial coating material based on natural rubber latex (NRL) was reported, where crosslinking of the NRL (cis 1,4-poly(isoprene) was carried out utilizing "thiol-ene chemistry" using trimethylolpropane tris(3-mercaptopropionate) (trithiol) as a crosslinker and Irgacure-184 as a photoinitiator under UV irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper-mediated controlled radical ring-opening polymerization (RROP) of a vinylcycloalkane.

TL;DR: This investigation reports controlled ring- opening polymerization of a vinylcyclopropane via copper-mediated atom transfer radical polymerization which leads to predominantly 1,5 ring-opening polymerization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Methacrylate/acrylate ABA triblock copolymers by atom transfer radical polymerization; their properties and application as a mediator for organically dispersible gold nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of well-defined Poly(methyl methacrylate)- b -poly(hexyl acrylate), b-poly (methyl methacelate) (PMMA-b -PHA- b -PMMA) triblock copolymers by Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP) were thoroughly investigated.
