On the Spectrum of a Gaseous Nebula of Pure Hydrogen. III: The Balmer Decrement
H. Gerola,M. Salem,Nino Panagia +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the Balmer decrement for a homogeneous, spherical, pure hydrogen nebula, ionized and excited both by radiative and collisional processes, was calculated for electron temperatures of 104 K and 2×104 K, electron densities from 103 to 106 cm−3.

SN 1987A: The Unusual Explosion of a Normal Type II Supernova
TL;DR: In this article, the authors review the unwrapping story of the SN 1987A explosion event and the main discoveries associated with it, and show that although this supernova is somewhat peculiar, the study of SN 1987a has clarified quite a number of important aspects of the nature and the properties of supernovae in general.
