Journal ArticleDOI

Lipids of the Tail Gland, Body and Muzzle Fur of the Red Fox, Vulpes vulpes

TL;DR: Findings show that fox skin lipids comprise mono- and di-esters of alkane-1,2-diols, and exhibit enormous complexity due to the diversity of their constituent FA, diols and the many possible isomers of their esters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variation in constitutive and induced chemistry in the needles, bark and roots of young Pinus radiata trees

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed assessment of Pinus radiata chemistry in the needles, bark and roots, including the compounds that respond to simulated biotic stress will potentially facilitate the identification of related chemical defence traits.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of the enol-keto tautomers of indole-3-pyruvic acid

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a detailed analysis of the tautomerism of IPyA and provide further evidence that the two tautomers can be readily separated by ultra high-performance liquid chromatography and that the relative proportions of each form may be controlled using temperature and pH.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pharmaceutical and preclinical evaluation of Advax adjuvant as a dose-sparing strategy for ant venom immunotherapy.

TL;DR: JJA VIT formulated with Advax was found to be physicochemically and microbiologically stable for at least 2 days when stored at 4 and 25 °C with a trend for an increase in allergenic potency observed beyond 2 days of storage, with the murine immunogenicity studies providing a strong rationale for a planned clinical trial to test the ability of Advax adjuvant to achieve 4-fold JJAV dose sparing in JJA-allergic human patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of Cotinine, 3′-Hydroxycotinine, and Their Glucuronides in Urine by Ultra-high Performance Liquid Chromatography

TL;DR: A sensitive and selective ultra-high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry assay was successfully developed for the determination of cotinine, trans-3′-hydroxycotinine, and their glucuronides in urine and was superior to indirect measurement using enzymatic hydrolysis.
