Journal ArticleDOI

Biomarker Discovery from Pancreatic Cancer Secretome Using a Differential Proteomic Approach

TL;DR: Stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture (SILAC) method is demonstrated to compare the secreted proteins (secretome) from pancreatic cancer-derived cells with that from non-neoplastic pancreatic ductal cells, confirming the validity of this approach.
Journal Article

Discovery of Novel Targets for Aberrant Methylation in Pancreatic Carcinoma Using High-Throughput Microarrays

TL;DR: A substantial number of genes are induced by 5Aza-dC treatment of pancreatic cancer cells, and many of them may represent novel targets for aberrant methylation in pancreatic carcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiation to Stromal Fibroblasts Increases Invasiveness of Pancreatic Cancer Cells through Tumor-Stromal Interactions

TL;DR: The data suggest that invasive potential of certain pancreatic cancer cells is enhanced by soluble mediator(s) released from irradiated fibroblasts possibly through up-regulation of c-Met expression/phosphorylation and mitogen-activated protein kinase activity in pancreaticcancer cells.
