The PN Population in the M87 Halo and the Virgo Cluster Core
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a deep and extended PN sample to show that the halo of M87 and the Virgo ICL are dynamically distinct components with different parent stellar populations.

A Method to Determine the Intrinsic Axial Ratios of Individual Triaxial Galaxies
Ortwin Gerhard,Mario Vietri +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the intrinsic axial ratios of a triaxial galaxy were determined by a method, partly geometrical and partly dynamical, which can be applied to bulges of spiral galaxies and to elliptical containing sufficiently extended and kinematically regular gas disks.
