The survey of planetary nebulae in Andromeda (M 31) - I. Imaging the disc and halo with MegaCam at the CFHT
Souradeep Bhattacharya,Magda Arnaboldi,Johanna Hartke,Ortwin Gerhard,V. Comte,V. Comte,Alan W. McConnachie,Nelson Caldwell +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 16-square-degree survey of the inner halo of the Andromeda galaxy with the MegaCam wide-field imager at the CFHT was conducted to identify a population of stars firmly associated with the M 31 galaxy.

Intracluster Planetary Nebulae in the Virgo Cluster
Kenneth C. Freeman,Magda Arnaboldi,Massimo Capaccioli,Robin Ciardullo,John J. Feldmeier,Holland C. Ford,Ortwin Gerhard,Rolf-Peter Kudritzki,George H. Jacoby,Roberto H. Méndez,Ray M. Sharples +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of the confirmed spectroscopic sample of intracluster planetary nebulae recently discovered in the Virgo cluster were described, including 23 bonafide and 8 high redshift (z ~ 3.1) Lyalpha emitters identified by their broad asymmetric emission line.
Book ChapterDOI
Dynamics of the Bar at the Galactic Centre
TL;DR: There is now substantial evidence for a rotating bar in the inner Galaxy as mentioned in this paper, which is an important change in our perception of the Galaxy because it changes the ways in which we have to think about its evolutionary history.
