Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of laboratory analogs of interstellar/cometary organic residues using very high resolution mass spectrometry
Grégoire Danger,François-Régis Orthous-Daunay,P. de Marcellus,Paola Modica,Véronique Vuitton,Fabrice Duvernay,L. Flandinet,L. Le Sergeant d'Hendecourt,Roland Thissen,Thierry Chiavassa +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a very high-resolution mass spectrometer was used to characterize the refractory residue of the Murchison's meteorite, a primitive chondrite of the CM class.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental investigation of nitrile formation from VUV photochemistry of interstellar ices analogs: acetonitrile and amino acetonitrile
Grégoire Danger,J.-B. Bossa,P. de Marcellus,Fabien Borget,Fabrice Duvernay,Patrice Theulé,Thierry Chiavassa,Louis D'Hendecourt +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) spectroscopy and mass spectrometry to study the formation of ace-tonitrile CH 3 CN from VUV irradiation of ethylamine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insight into the molecular composition of laboratory organic residues produced from interstellar/pre-cometary ice analogues using very high resolution mass spectrometry
Grégoire Danger,A. Fresneau,N. Abou Mrad,P. de Marcellus,François-Régis Orthous-Daunay,Fabrice Duvernay,Véronique Vuitton,L. Le Sergeant d'Hendecourt,L. Le Sergeant d'Hendecourt,Roland Thissen,Thierry Chiavassa +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, an analysis of the residues in order to obtain a better insight into their molecular content was performed. But the results showed that the residue mainly contained aliphatic linear molecules or cyclic structures connected to unsaturated chemical functions such as esters, carboxylic acids, amides or aldehydes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Organic residues from ultraviolet irradiation of interstellar ice analogs
P. Modica,P. de Marcellus,Donia Baklouti,Rosario Brunetto,Rosario Brunetto,M. Noun,M. Noun,S. Della Negra,L. Le Sergeant d'Hendecourt +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, photochemical and thermal evolution of these ices is simulated and studied in a labora- tory where the resulting production of complex organic residues is rou- tinely performed.
