TL;DR: In this paper, a Titan simulation experiment with enhanced CO (N2/CH4/CO gas mixtures of 96.2%/2.0%/1.8% and 93.2%.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental and theoretical study of a differentially pumped absorption gas cell used as a low energy-pass filter in the vacuum ultraviolet photon energy range
TL;DR: In this paper, a low photon energy-pass filter has been designed and built, ensuring a high spectral purity on the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) SU5 beamline at Super-ACO.
Journal ArticleDOI
CRITICAL REVIEW OF N, N+, N+ 2, N++, And N++ 2 MAIN PRODUCTION PROCESSES AND REACTIONS OF RELEVANCE TO TITAN'S ATMOSPHERE

Le Picard,Jean-Christophe Loison,Zdenek Herman,Jan Zabka,Daniela Ascenzi,Paolo Tosi,Pietro Franceschi,Stephen D. Price,Panayotis Lavvas +17 more
TL;DR: A detailed critical review of the production processes and reactions of N, N+, N+ 2, N++, and N++ 2 of relevance to Titan's atmosphere is presented in this article.
Formation of Amino Acids and Nucleotide Bases in a Titan Atmosphere Simulation Experiment
Sarah M. Hörst,Arnaud Buch,N. Carrasco G. Cernogora,O. Dutuit E. Quirico,Ella Sciamma-O'Brien,Mark A. Smith,Árpád Somogyi,Cyril Szopa,Roland Thissen,Véronique Vuitton +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, high-resolution mass spectrometry of isotopically labeled samples confirmed that aerosols produced in a Titan atmosphere simulation experiment with enhanced CO (N(2)/CH(4)/CO gas mixtures of 96.2%/2.0%/1.8%) were found to contain 18 molecules with molecular formulae that correspond to biological amino acids and nucleotide bases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical characterization of Titan's tholins: solubility, morphology and molecular structure revisited.
Nathalie Carrasco,Isabelle Schmitz-Afonso,Jean-Yves Bonnet,Eric Quirico,Roland Thissen,Odile Dutuit,Aïcha Bagag,Olivier Laprévote,Arnaud Buch,Alexandre Giulani,Gilles Adandé,Fakhreddine Ouni,Edith Hadamcik,Cyril Szopa,Guy Cernogora +14 more
TL;DR: Titan's atmospheric chemistry is simulated using a capacitively coupled plasma radio frequency discharge in a N(2)-CH(4) stationnary flux to highlight that the previous Titan's tholin solubility studies are inappropriate to fully characterize such a heterogeneous organic matter and a new protocol is developed to evaluate quantitatively tholinssolubility.
