Journal ArticleDOI

DSC of DMPC liposomes containing low concentrations of cholesteryl esters or cholesterol

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the addition of 0-3 mol% cholesterol, cholesteryl stearate (18:0), cholesterol oleate ( 18:1), cholesterly linoleate (19:2) or cholesterol linolenate (20:3) upon the main transition and pretransition of fully hydrated dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) multilamellar liposomes have been measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

13C-NMR determination of the molecular dynamics of cholesterol in dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine vesicles

TL;DR: The order parameters and correlation times from the present 13C-NMR experiments are shown to be compatible with those from 2H-N MR experiments, which establishes the validity of the present approach.
Journal ArticleDOI

13C-NMR determination of the solubility and molecular dynamics of cholesteryl oleate in dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine vesicles

TL;DR: In this article, the dynamics of 1.5 mol% cholesteryl oleate in DMPC small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs) at 37°C were measured using 13C-NMR measurements.
