Journal ArticleDOI
Photocatalytic degradation of ceftiofur sodium in the presence of gold nanoparticles loaded TiO2 under UV–visible light
TL;DR: In this article, gold nanoparticles loaded with TiO2 (Au-TiO2) photocatalyst have been prepared through deposition-precipitation method and characterized using XRD, transmission electron microscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectrography techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Fe3 doped TiO2 photocatalysts for the visible assisted degradation of an azo dye
P. Sathishkumar,Sambandam Anandan,P. Maruthamuthu,T. Swaminathan,Meifang Zhou,Muthupandian Ashokkumar +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a nano-sized, Fe3+ doped TiO2 photocatalyst was successfully prepared by a simple wet impregnation method with an attempt to extend the light absorption of TiO 2 into the visible region and reduce the rapid recombination of electrons and holes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sonophotocatalytic (42 kHz) degradation of Simazine in the presence of Au–TiO2 nanocatalysts
P. Sathishkumar,P. Sathishkumar,Ramalinga Viswanathan Mangalaraja,Héctor D. Mansilla,Miguel A. Gracia-Pinilla,Sambandam Anandan +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the nano-size gold loaded visible light driven Au-TiO 2 nanophotocatalysts were synthesized using a commercial sonicator bath producing 42 kHz ultrasound.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low frequency ultrasound (42 kHz) assisted degradation of Acid Blue 113 in the presence of visible light driven rare earth nanoclusters loaded TiO2 nanophotocatalysts.
P. Sathishkumar,P. Sathishkumar,Ramalinga Viswanathan Mangalaraja,Oscar Rozas,Héctor D. Mansilla,Miguel A. Gracia-Pinilla,Sambandam Anandan +6 more
TL;DR: An attempt has been made to render the visible light driven photocatalytic activity to the TiO2 nanocatalysts by loading 1 wt% of rare earth (RE) nanoclusters using a low frequency (42 kHz) producing commercial sonicator, which shows 1.4-fold (synergy index) enhanced rate when compared with the two corresponding individual advanced oxidation processes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasmall Plasmonic Nanoparticles Decorated Hierarchical Mesoporous TiO2 as an Efficient Photocatalyst for Photocatalytic Degradation of Textile Dyes.
S. Anbu Anjugam Vandarkuzhali,N. Pugazhenthiran,Ramalinga Viswanathan Mangalaraja,P. Sathishkumar,Balasubramanian Viswanathan,Sambandam Anandan +5 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that the adsorption of dye, anatase phase, and surface plasmon resonance of NPs favored the effective degradation of dyes in aqueous solution.
