A new hexaploid species of Centaurea section Acrolophus (Asteraceae) from Evvia Island, Greece

TL;DR: A karyological examination revealed that the new species appears to be a local and threatened endemic, with the total number of individuals known being less than 500, and it is hexaploid, with 2n = 6x =-54, an unusual number in Centaurea, which may indicate a hybrid origin.

TL;DR: Lower numbers of nematodes were recorded in roots grown in infested soil after the application of EO or HL at the highest doses, where for both Meloidogyne species tested, the percentage of paralyzed J2s was more than 70% after 48H of immersion, while the percentage was increased to 90% after 96 h of immersion.
