Journal ArticleDOI
Air pollution and female fertility: a systematic review of literature
Alessandro Conforti,Marika Mascia,Giuseppina Cioffi,Cristina de Angelis,Giuseppe Coppola,Pasquale De Rosa,Rosario Pivonello,Carlo Alviggi,Giuseppe De Placido +8 more
TL;DR: It seems that air pollution could represent a matter of concern for female infertility, according to a systematic review of studies that evaluated the impact of air pollution on female infertility.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fractional microablative CO2 laser for vulvovaginal atrophy in women treated with chemotherapy and/or hormonal therapy for breast cancer: a retrospective study.
Tiziana Pagano,Pasquale De Rosa,Roberta Vallone,Francesco Schettini,Grazia Arpino,Sabino De Placido,Giovanni Nazzaro,Mariavittoria Locci,Giuseppe De Placido +8 more
TL;DR: Fractional microablative CO2 laser treatment is associated with a significant improvement of VVA symptoms in women affected by hormone-driven breast cancer, and has the advantage of relieving iatrogenic/physiological VVA Symptoms without resorting to contraindicated estrogen preparations, which have been the most effective therapy thus far.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fractional microablative CO2 laser in breast cancer survivors affected by iatrogenic vulvovaginal atrophy after failure of nonestrogenic local treatments: a retrospective study.
Tiziana Pagano,Pasquale De Rosa,Roberta Vallone,Francesco Schettini,Grazia Arpino,Mario Giuliano,Rossella Lauria,Irene De Santo,Alessandro Conforti,Alessandra Gallo,Giovanni Nazzaro,Sabino De Placido,Mariavittoria Locci,Giuseppe De Placido +13 more
TL;DR: CO2 laser treatment is effective and safe in BC patients with iatrogenic menopause, however, the optimal number of cycles to administer and the need for retreatment remain to be defined.
Journal ArticleDOI
A common polymorphic allele of the LH beta-subunit gene is associated with higher exogenous FSH consumption during controlled ovarian stimulation for assisted reproductive technology
Carlo Alviggi,Kim Pettersson,Salvatore Longobardi,Claus Yding Andersen,Alessandro Conforti,Pasquale De Rosa,Roberto Clarizia,Ida Strina,Antonio Mollo,Giuseppe De Placido,Peter Humaidan +10 more
TL;DR: These results confirm that carriers exhibit hypo-sensitivity to exogenous FSH during COS, and explore the frequency of v-betaLH in Denmark, which is similar to a number of European countries.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of recombinant LH in women with hypo-response to controlled ovarian stimulation: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Alessandro Conforti,Sandro C. Esteves,Francesca Di Rella,Ida Strina,Pasquale De Rosa,Alessia Fiorenza,Fulvio Zullo,Giuseppe De Placido,Carlo Alviggi +8 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed that women with a hypo-response to exogenous gonadotropins might benefit from LH supplementation, however, more trials are required before a definitive conclusion can be drawn.
