Journal ArticleDOI
A Multidisciplinary Approach to Carotid Paragangliomas
Gregory Kasper,Richard E. Welling,Alan R. Wladis,Daniel E. Cajacob,Andre Grisham,Thomas A. Tomsick,Jack L. Gluckman,Patrick Muck +7 more
TL;DR: A combined surgical team of otolaryngology and vascular surgery provides for exposure of the distal internal carotid artery as high as the skull base, limited permanent cranial nerve dysfunction, and selective early division and excision of the external carotids artery for complete tumor resection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) therapy in treating lymphatic complications after vascular procedures: New approach for lymphoceles
TL;DR: VAC therapy for treatment of both LF and lymphoceles resulted in early control of drainage, rapid wound closure, and short hospital stays, suggesting that VAC therapy is a convenient and effective therapeutic option for both LFs and lympheceles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lower Extremity Revascularization Using Optical Coherence Tomography–Guided Directional Atherectomy: Final Results of the EValuatIon of the PantheriS OptIcal COherence Tomography ImagiNg Atherectomy System for Use in the Peripheral Vasculature (VISION) Study:
Arne Schwindt,J. Gray Bennett,William H. Crowder,Suhail Dohad,Sean Janzer,Jon C. George,Barry Tedder,Thomas Davis,Ian Cawich,Roger S. Gammon,Patrick Muck,John P. Pigott,Dwight A. Dishmon,Lou A. TL;DR: In this article, the safety and efficacy of a novel optical coherence tomography (OCT)guided atherectomy catheter in treating patients with symptomatic femoropopliteal disease was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resorbable Inferior Vena Cava Filters: Trial in an In-vivo Porcine Model
Axel Thors,Patrick Muck +1 more
TL;DR: Resorbable IVC filters are feasible and could be used for specific patient populations, and the need for further research of bioabsorbable polymers, absorption mechanics in the vascular system, absorption times, efficacy models, and practical application is outlined.
Journal Article
Blunt injury to the external iliac artery: a case report.
TL;DR: A case of external iliac artery injury secondary to blunt trauma is presented and a deceleration-type mechanism is suggested that results in the production of an intimal flap and later vessel thrombosis.
