Zero-Process-Change SiGe Heterojunction Avalanche Photodiode for High-Speed, High-Gain Detection Near the Silicon Band Edge
TL;DR: In this paper, a silicon-integrated avalanche photodiode (APD) capable of high internal gain (>16,000) is presented, which is partially attributed to the enhanced lateral carrier mobility of its strained SiGe anode, and the low sheet resistance of its cathode contact.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-Event Transients in SiGe HBTs Induced by Pulsed X-Ray Microbeam
Delgermaa Nergui,Daniele M. Monahan,Hunter Kettering,Dale Brewe,John D. Cressler,Adrian Ildefonso,George N. Tzintzarov,Nelson E. Lourenco,Anup P. Omprakash,Patrick S. Goley,Zachary E. Fleetwood,Stephen LaLumondiere,J. P. Bonsall +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, single-event transients (SETs) induced by pulsed X-rays in SiGe heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs) are analyzed and compared to those of heavy-ions.
