Genetic Analysis of Measles Viruses Isolated in the United States, 1995–1996

TL;DR: The sequence data support and extend previous findings showing that transmission of group 2 viruses within the United States was interrupted after 1993 and suggest that all measles cases that occurred in the United United States in 1995-1996 were the result of importation of virus, even in instances when the source was unknown.
Journal ArticleDOI

A europium fluoroimmunoassay for measuring binding of antigen to class II MHC glycoproteins

TL;DR: A dissociation-enhanced lanthanide fluoroimmunoassay employing europium-streptavidin and time-resolved fluorimetry was developed to measure binding of biotin-labeled peptides to class II MHC proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Measles Outbreak in an Underimmunized Amish Community in Ohio.

TL;DR: The key epidemiologic features of a measles outbreak in the Amish community in Ohio were transmission primarily within households, the small proportion of Amish people affected, and the large number of people in theAmish community who sought vaccination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional properties of the fusion and attachment glycoproteins of Nipah virus

TL;DR: Data from these biological assays support the taxonomic grouping of both HV and NV in the new genus, Henipavirus, within the family Paramyxoviridae.
