Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and structure of the endogenous agonist of opioid receptor-like ORL1 receptor.
Jean-Claude Meunier,Catherine Mollereau,Lawrence Toll,Lawrence Toll,Charles Suaudeau,Christiane Moisand,Paul Alvinerie,Jean-Luc Butour,Jean-Claude Guillemot,Pascual Ferrara,Bernard Monsarrat,Honoré Mazarguil,Gilbert Vassart,Marc Parmentier,Jean Costentin +14 more
TL;DR: Data indicate that the newly discovered heptadecapeptide is an endogenous agonist of the ORL1 receptor and that it may be endowed with pro-nociceptive properties.
Journal Article
Taxol metabolism by human liver microsomes: identification of cytochrome P450 isozymes involved in its biotransformation
Thierry Cresteil,Bernard Monsarrat,Paul Alvinerie,Jean-Marc Treluyer,Isabel Vieira,Michel Wright +5 more
TL;DR: Microsomes from patients treated with barbiturates and benzodiazepines increased the formation of metabolite M4 to the level of metabolites M5, demonstrating that drug interactions could modify the human metabolism of taxol.
Journal ArticleDOI
Regioselective Metabolism of Taxoids by Human CYP3A4 and 2C8: Structure-Activity Relationship
Thierry Cresteil,Bernard Monsarrat,Joëlle Dubois,Michelle Sonnier,Paul Alvinerie,Françoise Guéritte +5 more
TL;DR: Data strongly suggested that the structure of the lateral chain and the nature of substituent in position 10 play an important role in determining the regioselective oxidation by P450 proteins and modulate the reaction rate by human liver microsomes.
Journal Article
Hepatic metabolism and biliary excretion of Taxol in rats and humans.
Bernard Monsarrat,Paul Alvinerie,Michel Wright,Joëlle Dubois,Francoise Gueritte-Voegelein,Daniel Guenard,R C Donehower,E K Rowinsky +7 more
TL;DR: The biliary excretion of Taxol has been studied in rats and in a human patient receiving Taxol in a phase I trial, and the chemical structures of four of the rat metabolites and three of the human metabolites have been identified.
Journal Article
Modification of Paclitaxel Metabolism in a Cancer Patient by Induction of Cytochrome P450 3A4
Bernard Monsarrat,Etienne Chatelut,Isabelle Royer,Paul Alvinerie,Joëlle Dubois,Annik Dezeuse,Henri Roché,Suzy Cros,Michel Wright,Pierre Canal +9 more
TL;DR: A high CYP3A4 activity in the patient is consistent with the repeated administration of methylprednisolone for 14 days before paclitaxel treatment, a compound known to induce the CYP1A isoform, and with the increased ratio of 6beta-hydroxycortisol/ cortisol in urine, an index of CYP2A activity.
