Journal ArticleDOI
Development of metal oxide nanoparticles with high stability against particle growth using a metastable solid solution
Edson R. Leite,Adeilton Pereira Maciel,Ingrid Távora Weber,Paulo Noronha Lisboa-Filho,Elson Longo,Carlos O. Paiva-Santos,André Vitor Chaves de Andrade,C. A. Pakoscimas,Y. Maniette,Wido H. Schreiner +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Vanadium ionic species from degradation of Ti-6Al-4V metallic implants: In vitro cytotoxicity and speciation evaluation.
Bruna Carolina Costa,Cintia Kazuko Tokuhara,Luís Augusto Rocha,Rodrigo Cardoso de Oliveira,Paulo Noronha Lisboa-Filho,João Costa Pessoa +5 more
TL;DR: Even though relatively low concentrations of vanadium may be released from Ti-6Al-4V implants in vivo, the continuous contact with peri-implant cells for long periods of time may represent a potentially hazardous situation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthetic nanoparticles of bovine serum albumin with entrapped salicylic acid
Erika S. Bronze-Uhle,Bruna Carolina Costa,Valdecir Farias Ximenes,Paulo Noronha Lisboa-Filho +3 more
TL;DR: The results of chemical morphology characterization and in vitro release studies indicated the potential use of BSA NPs as drug carriers in biological systems requiring a fast release of SA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructural and morphological analysis of pure and Ce-doped tin dioxide nanoparticles
Adeilton Pereira Maciel,Paulo Noronha Lisboa-Filho,Edson R. Leite,Carlos O. Paiva-Santos,Wido H. Schreiner,Y. Maniette,Elson Longo +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, structural and morphological studies in pure and Ce-doped tin dioxide nanoparticles with high stability against particle growth were performed in samples, obtained using the polymeric precursor method and prepared at different annealing temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Role of vanadium in Ni:Al2O3 catalysts for carbon dioxide reforming of methane
Antoninho Valentini,Neftalí L. V. Carreño,Luiz F. D. Probst,Paulo Noronha Lisboa-Filho,Wido H. Schreiner,Edson R. Leite,Elson Longo +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the CO 2 reforming of CH 4 was performed over V-promoted Ni/Al 2 O 3 catalysts similarly prepared by the polymeric precursor method, and the results point out to a low carbon deposition and the surface area (BET) abruptly increases upon the addition of 0.8 Wt.% V.
