Journal ArticleDOI

In vitro evaluation of cytotoxicity of engineered metal oxide nanoparticles.

TL;DR: The cytotoxicity of selected engineered metal oxide nanoparticles to the test organisms--E.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on saccharification techniques of seaweed wastes for the transformation of ethanol

TL;DR: In this paper, the technical feasibility of floating residue (FR) utilization as a resource of renewable energy was investigated by dilute sulfuric acid pretreatment and further enzymatic hydrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of medium and cultivation conditions for alkaline protease production by the marine yeast Aureobasidium pullulans

TL;DR: A yeast strain, Aureobasidium pullulans, which could produce the high yield of protease was isolated from sediment of saltern in Qingdao, China, and had the highest activity at pH 9.0 and 45 degrees C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antioxidant activity of polysaccharides produced by Hirsutella sp. and relation with their chemical characteristics

TL;DR: Evaluated by the 1/IC50 values of hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, the polysaccharides with higher protein content, lower neutral sugar content and molecular weight about 10-20 kDa were found to have better radical scavenged activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vitro antioxidative activities of three marine oligosaccharides.

TL;DR: The results show that these oligosaccharides exhibited different activities in various assays, and COs had the highest scavenging superoxide radical and inhibiting erythrocyte hemolysis activity than AOs and FOs at all the tested amounts.
