Journal ArticleDOI
Assessing the recent impact of COVID-19 on carbon emissions from China using domestic economic data
TL;DR: Li et al. as discussed by the authors used national and provincial GDP data and the China Emission Accounts and Datasets (CEADs) inventory to estimate the emission reductions in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020.
Journal ArticleDOI
Estimating the soil carbon sequestration potential of China's Grain for Green Project
TL;DR: In this paper, a meta-analysis of data from published literature and direct field measurements was performed to quantify the carbon sequestration in soil (soil organic carbon, SOC) after afforestation or reforestation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluating China's fossil-fuel CO 2 emissions from a comprehensive dataset of nine inventories
Pengfei Han,Ning Zeng,T. Oda,Xiaohui Lin,Monica Crippa,Dabo Guan,Dabo Guan,Greet Janssens-Maenhout,Xiaolin Ma,Zhu Liu,Zhu Liu,Yuli Shan,Shu Tao,Haikun Wang,Rong Wang,Rong Wang,Lin Wu,Xiao Yun,Qiang Zhang,Fang Zhao,Bo Zheng +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated China's FFCO2 emissions from nine published global and regional emission datasets and highlighted the significance of using locally measured emissionfactors (EFs) for Chinese coal.
Journal ArticleDOI
Empirical Estimation of Near-Surface Air Temperature in China from MODIS LST Data by Considering Physiographic Features
TL;DR: The aim of this study is to improve the accuracy of Ta estimations from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) LST via parameterization of the physiographic variables according to the terrain relief, and indicated that the best agreement was found between Terra nighttime LST (LSTmodn) and the observed Ta in China.
Journal ArticleDOI
The impact of afforestation on soil organic carbon sequestration on the Qinghai Plateau, China.
TL;DR: It is concluded that afforestation on the Qinghai Plateau is associated with great capability of SOC and TN sequestration, and evidence on the C sequestration potentials associated with forestry projects in China is provided.
