Journal ArticleDOI
Development of immune response that protects mice from viral pneumonitis after a single intranasal immunization with influenza A virus and nanoemulsion.
Andrzej Myc,Jolanta F. Kukowska-Latallo,Anna U. Bielinska,Peter Cao,Piotr P. Myc,Katarzyna W. Janczak,Tracy R. Sturm,Michael S. Grabinski,Jeffrey J. Landers,Katherine S. Young,Jennifer S. Chang,Tarek Hamouda,Michal A. Olszewski,James R. Baker +13 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that nanoemulsion can be employed as a non-toxic mucosal adjuvant for influenza virus vaccine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection and analysis of tumor fluorescence using a two-photon optical fiber probe.
Thommey P. Thomas,M.T. Myaing,Jing Yong Ye,Kimberly A. Candido,Alina Kotlyar,James L. Beals,Peter Cao,Balazs Keszler,Anil K. Patri,Theodore B. Norris,James R. Baker +10 more
TL;DR: The utility of a two-photon optical fiber fluorescence probe (TPOFF) for sensing and quantifying tumor fluorescent signals was tested in vivo and suggest TPOFF can be used as a minimally invasive system for identifying tumor markers and monitoring drug therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeting the efficacy of a dendrimer-based nanotherapeutic in heterogeneous xenograft tumors in vivo.
Andrzej Myc,Jolanta F. Kukowska-Latallo,Peter Cao,Ben Swanson,Julianna Battista,Thomas Dunham,James R. Baker +6 more
TL;DR: The animal model of the artificial heterogeneous xenograft tumor showed that the nanotherapeutic was preferentially cytotoxic to KB cells, and the large-scale synthesis of a G5-FA-MTX conjugate was evaluated for its cytotoxicity potential and specificity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced systemic and mucosal immune responses in mice immunized with recombinant Bacillus anthracis protective antigen (rPA) using a novel nanoemulsion adjuvant
TL;DR: Nanoemulsions may serve as useful adjuvants for recombinant anthrax vaccines as an adjuvant for intramuscular (IM) and intranasal (IN) immunization with rPA.
Proceedings Article
Quantitative, in vivo fluorescence measurements with a two-photon fiber probe
M.T. Myaing,Jing Yong Ye,Theodore B. Norris,Thommey P. Thomas,Kimberly A. Candido,Alina Kotlyar,James L. Beals,Peter Cao,Balazs Keszler,J.R. Baker +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated the capability of a two-photon optical fiber fluorescence (TPOFF) probe for quantitative, in vivo fluorescence measurements in mice tumors.
