TL;DR: A diagnosis of neurocysticercosis should be considered in patients with seizures and radiologic evidence of cystic brain lesions, even in those who do not eat pork and who have not traveled to a country in which T. solium infection is endemic.

TL;DR: The results of this study suggest that still reliable criteria to determine which patients require treatment with either praziquantel or albendazole is lacking, and approximately half of the patients in this study had anticysticercal antibodies that recognized all seven of the diagnostic proteins.

TL;DR: A dramatic rise in numbers of cases was observed after 1977, appearing to plateau at approximately 80 cases per year in 1981, and the increase in cases beginning in 1977 coincided with the introduction of the computed tomographic scan.
