Comparison of Direct-Deposition Supercritical Fluid and Gas Chromatography/Fourier Transform Infrared Spectra to Condensed-Phase Library Spectra

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of spectra from direct-deposition (DD) capillary gas chromatography and supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC)/Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) measurements of two quinones with C2 symmetry axes and several barbiturates to spectra of condensed phase libraries of the corresponding compounds is reported.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Second Derivative And Fourier Self-Deconvolution Approaches To Resolution Enhancement Of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectra

TL;DR: In this article, the number of components in a mixture is estimated using factor analysis or absorbance ratio technique, but the answers given by these techniques are often ambiguous, and the spectral spectrum of each individual component can be obtained using absorbance subtraction routines; however, for this technique to be successful the spectroscopist should have some knowledge of the composition of his sample, and he needs the spectra of at least as many samples of different composition as there are components in the mixture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Minimization of quantitative errors for analysis of vapor-phase infrared spectra measured at different temperatures by partial least squares regression

TL;DR: In this article, the vapor-phase infrared spectra of mixtures of o-, m-, and p-xylene were analyzed using a partial least squares (PLS) regression.
Book ChapterDOI

A Procedure for Testing the Radiometric Accuracy of Fourier-transform Infrared Spectrometers

TL;DR: A simple procedure for evaluation of FT-IR radiometric accuracy, which incorporates the use of calibrated standard reference materials using a wavelength/wavenumber standard reference material developed at the National Institute and Standards and Technology.
