Distinguishing Right from Left Colon by the Pattern of Gene Expression
Oleg K. Glebov,Luz Rodriguez,Kenneth Nakahara,Jean Jenkins,Janet Cliatt,Casey Jo Humbyrd,John Denobile,Peter W. Soballe,Richard Simon,George E. Wright,Patrick M. Lynch,Sherri Patterson,Henry T. Lynch,Steven Gallinger,Aby Buchbinder,Gary Gordon,Ernest T. Hawk,Ilan R. Kirsch +17 more
TL;DR: Biopsies of adult colonic epithelium can be correctly classified as proximal or distal by gene expression profile, indicating that, although anatomically relevant differences are already established in embryonic colon, additional changes in gene expression occur in postnatal development.
Journal ArticleDOI
A prospective surveillance model for rehabilitation for women with breast cancer
Nicole L. Stout,Jill M. Binkley,Kathryn H. Schmitz,Kimberly S. Andrews,Sandra C. Hayes,Kristin L. Campbell,Margaret L. McNeely,Peter W. Soballe,Ann M. Berger,Andrea L. Cheville,Carol J. Fabian,Lynn H. Gerber,Susan R. Harris,Karin Johansson,Andrea L. Pusic,Robert G. Prosnitz,Robert A. Smith +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a prospective surveillance model for physical rehabilitation and exercise that can be integrated with disease treatment to create a more comprehensive approach to survivorship health care, which may influence incidence and severity of breast cancer treatment-related physical impairments.

Mutations in β-Catenin Are Uncommon in Colorectal Cancer Occurring in Occasional Replication Error-positive Tumors
Maria N. Kitaeva,Liam Grogan,John Williams,Eileen Dimond,Kenneth Nakahara,Petr F. Hausner,John Denobile,Peter W. Soballe,Ilan R. Kirsch +8 more
TL;DR: Both tumors with beta-catenin mutations exhibited widespread microsatellite instability, which is indicative of a replication error phenotype, a phenotype known to be present in HCT 116, which suggests that mutations in beta-Catenin are infrequent in CRC and miscellaneous cancer cell lines and may occur in association with a replicated error phenotype.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pre-operative assessment enables early diagnosis and recovery of shoulder function in patients with breast cancer
Barbara A. Springer,Ellen W. Levy,Charles L. McGarvey,Lucinda Pfalzer,Nicole L. Stout,Lynn H. Gerber,Peter W. Soballe,Jerome Danoff +7 more
TL;DR: Most women in this cohort undergoing surgery for BC who receive PT intervention may expect a return to baseline ROM and strength by 3 months, but those who do not reach baseline, often continue to improve and reach their pre-operative levels by 1-year post-surgery.
