Non-invasive fetal monitoring: a maternal surface ECG electrode placement-based novel approach for optimization of adaptive filter control parameters using the LMS and RLS algorithms
Radek Martinek,Radana Kahankova,Homer Nazeran,Jaromir Konecny,Janusz Jezewski,Petr Janku,Petr Bilik,Jan Zidek,Jan Nedoma,Marcel Fajkus +9 more
TL;DR: The approach could offer the potential to be used in clinical practice to establish recommendations for standard electrode placement and find the optimal adaptive filter settings for extracting high quality fetal ECG signals for further processing, and ensure the reliable detection of fetal hypoxia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative Effectiveness of ICA and PCA in Extraction of Fetal ECG From Abdominal Signals: Toward Non-invasive Fetal Monitoring.
Radek Martinek,Radana Kahankova,Janusz Jezewski,Rene Jaros,Jitka Mohylova,Marcel Fajkus,Jan Nedoma,Petr Janku,Homer Nazeran +8 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrated that even though these advanced signal processing methods are suitable for the non-invasive estimation and monitoring of the fHR information from maternal aECG signals, their utility for further morphological analysis of the extracted fECGs signals remains questionable and warrants further work.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Phonocardiographic-Based Fiber-Optic Sensor and Adaptive Filtering System for Noninvasive Continuous Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring
Radek Martinek,Jan Nedoma,Marcel Fajkus,Radana Kahankova,Jaromir Konecny,Petr Janku,Stanislav Kepak,Petr Bilik,Homer Nazeran +8 more
TL;DR: This paper focuses on the design, realization, and verification of a novel phonocardiographic- based fiber-optic sensor and adaptive signal processing system for noninvasive continuous fetal heart rate (fHR) monitoring that utilizes two Mach-Zehnder interferometeric sensors.
Journal ArticleDOI
The fetal inflammatory response in subgroups of women with preterm prelabor rupture of the membranes
Marian Kacerovsky,Teresa Cobo,Ctirad Andrys,Ivana Musilova,Marcela Drahosova,Helena Hornychova,Petr Janku,Bo Jacobsson +7 more
TL;DR: A higher fetal inflammatory response mediated by umbilical cord blood IL-6 was identified when both MIAC and HCA were detected in pregnancies complicated by PPROM.
Journal ArticleDOI
Urinary intermediates of tryptophan as indicators of the gut microbial metabolism
Tereza Pavlová,Veronika Vidova,Julie Bienertova-Vasku,Petr Janku,Martina Almáši,Jana Klánová,Zdenek Spacil +6 more
TL;DR: This study represents the first attempt to explore previously unreported microbial metabolites in urine by UHPLC-SRM and novel methodology for simultaneous determination of microbiota-modulated component of Trp metabolism.
