Choroidal Thickness in Eyes With Central Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Stargardt Disease and Age-Related Macular Degeneration

TL;DR: Choroidal thickness measurements from eyes with similar areas of macular geographic atrophy secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and Stargardt disease (STGD) were compared to determine whether GA from different diseases had a similar or different effect on the underlying subfoveal choroid as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Eliminating Visual Acuity and Dilated Fundus Examinations Improves Cost Efficiency of Performing Optical Coherence Tomogrpahy-Guided Intravitreal Injections.

TL;DR: Eliminating both VA assessments and DFEs for patients undergoing OCT-guided retreatment with intravitreal injections resulted in decreased exposure times between patients and clinic staff, decreased cost per encounter, and increased patient volumes per clinic day, resulting in improved clinic efficiency and safety.
Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of a Novel Automated Algorithm to Measure Drusen Volume and Area Using Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography.

TL;DR: In this paper, an automated swept source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA) algorithm was proposed to measure elevation of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) in eyes with nonexudative age-related macular degeneration (neAMD).
