Journal ArticleDOI

Second-generation synthesis of syn- and anti-cycloheptadienylsulfone polyketide stereodiads.

TL;DR: The synthesis of 18a and 18b from enantiopure epoxide 2 has been optimized for large-scale synthesis to give 80-85% overall yields in one operation (one operation implies that no crystallization or distillation is required throughout the synthesis) while avoiding chromatography.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Self-Immolative Strategy for 1,2-Elimination of Homallyl Sulfones to 1,3-Dienes

TL;DR: In this article, the treatment of homoallyl sulfones with t-butyl lithium at low temperature affords ortho-lithio sulfones which undergo intramolecular deprotonation to produce 1,3-dienes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Triply-convergent synthesis of two sets of homochiral cyclopent[a]indene carbacyclin analogs

TL;DR: The IC50 values of these six compounds for inhibition of collagen-induced platelet aggregation were 0.18, > 100, 0.33, 0.,33, < 100, and 2.2μM, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Silver Fluoroborate Promoted Sulfur Alkylation of β-Silyl Ethyl Sulfides. Selective Synthesis of β-Thioglycosides

TL;DR: In this article, the activation of α-glucosyl bromide in the presence of 2-trimethylsilylethyl sulfides as sulfur nucleophiles selectively provides β-thioglycosides.
