Journal ArticleDOI
The chemokine TECK is expressed by thymic and intestinal epithelial cells and attracts double- and single-positive thymocytes expressing the TECK receptor CCR9
Marc-André Wurbel,Jean-Marc Philippe,Catherine Nguyen,Geneviève Victorero,Tom C. Freeman,Peter Wooding,Arkadiusz Miazek,Marie-Geneviève Mattei,Marie Malissen,Bertrand Jordan,Bernard Malissen,Alice Carrier,Philippe Naquet +12 more
TL;DR: The interplay of TECK and its receptor CCR9 is likely to have a significant role in the recruitment of developing thymocytes to discrete compartments of the thymus.
Journal Article
A rat anti-mouse T4 monoclonal antibody (H129.19) inhibits the proliferation of Ia-reactive T cell clones and delineates two phenotypically distinct (T4+, Lyt-2,3-, and T4-, Lyt-2,3+) subsets among anti-Ia cytolytic T cell clones.
Anne Pierres,Philippe Naquet,A van Agthoven,F Bekkhoucha,F Denizot,Zohar Mishal,Anne-Marie Schmitt-Verhulst,Michel Pierres +7 more
TL;DR: These studies strongly suggest that the mouse T4 molecule facilitates the recognition of class II MHC antigen by most but not all T cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential Gene Expression in the Murine Thymus Assayed by Quantitative Hybridization of Arrayed cDNA Clones
Catherine Nguyen,Dominique Rocha,Samuel Granjeaud,Mylène Baldit,Karine Bernard,Philippe Naquet,Bertrand Jordan +6 more
TL;DR: High-throughput measurement of hybridization signatures obtained using complex probes prepared from poly(A)+ RNA and high-density cDNA colony filters is described and good correlation is observed between expression profiles determined by this method and by Northern blotting.
Journal ArticleDOI
RNA and protein expression of the murine autoimmune regulator gene (Aire) in normal, RelB-deficient and in NOD mouse.
Maarit Heino,Pärt Peterson,Pärt Peterson,Niko Sillanpää,Sandrine Guérin,Li Wu,Graham Anderson,Hamish S. Scott,Stylianos E. Antonarakis,Jun Kudoh,Nobuyoshi Shimizu,Eric J. Jenkinson,Philippe Naquet,Kai Krohn +13 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the Aire protein is associated with the normal development and action of a subset of thymic medullary stromal cells involved in tolerance induction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pantetheinase activity of membrane-bound Vanin-1: lack of free cysteamine in tissues of Vanin-1 deficient mice.
Giuseppina Pitari,Fabrice Malergue,Florent Martin,Jean Marc Philippe,Maria Teresa Massucci,Claude Chabret,Bruno Maras,Silvestro Duprè,Philippe Naquet,Franck Galland +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that membrane‐bound pantetheinase is the main source of cysteamine in tissues under physiological conditions and raises the possibility that Vanin/pantetheinases might be involved in the regulation of some immune functions maybe in the context of the response to oxidative stress.
