This paper deals with the thermal Marangoni convection effects in magneto-Casson liquid flow through suspension of dust particles. The transpiration cooling aspect is accounted. The surface tension is assumed to be fluctuating linearly with temperature. The fluid and dust particle’s temperature of the interface is chosen as a quadratic function of interface arc length. The governing problem is modelled by conservation laws of mass, momentum and energy for fluid and dust particle phase. Stretching transformation technique is utilized to form ordinary differential equations from the partial differential equations. Later, the numerical solutions based on Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method are established. The momentum and heat transport distributions are focused on the outcome of distinct governing parameters. The results of Nusselt number is also presented and discussed. It is established that the heat transfer rate is higher in the case of dusty non-Newtonian fluid than dusty Newtonian fluid. The rate of heat transfer can be enhanced by suspending dust particles in a base liquid.

Thermal Marangoni convection in two-phase flow of dusty Casson fluid

Present work aims to investigate the features of the exponential space dependent heat source (ESHS) and cross-diffusion effects in Marangoni convective heat mass transfer flow due to an infinite disk. Flow analysis is comprised with magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). The effects of Joule heating, viscous dissipation and solar radiation are also utilized. The thermal and solute field on the disk surface varies in a quadratic manner. The ordinary differential equations have been obtained by utilizing Von Karman transformations. The resulting problem under consideration is solved numerically via Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg based shooting scheme. The effects of involved pertinent flow parameters are explored by graphical illustrations. Results point out that the ESHS effect dominates thermal dependent heat source effect on thermal boundary layer growth. The concentration and temperature distributions and their associated layer thicknesses are enhanced by Marangoni effect.

Marangoni convection in Casson liquid flow due to an infinite disk with exponential space dependent heat source and cross-diffusion effects

Purpose




The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of binary chemical reaction and activation energy on nano Casson liquid flow past a stretched plate with non-linear radiative heat, and also, the effect of a novel exponential space-dependent heat source (ESHS) aspect along with thermal-dependent heat source (THS) effect in the analysis of heat transfer in nanofluid. Comparative analysis is carried out between the flows with linear radiative heat process and non-linear radiative heat process.




Design/methodology/approach




A similarity transformation technique is utilised to access the ODEs from the governed PDEs. The manipulation of subsequent non-linear equations is carried out by a well-known numerical approach called Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg scheme. Obtained solutions are briefly discussed with the help of graphical and tabular illustrations.




Findings




The effects of various physical parameters on temperature, nanoparticles volume fraction and velocity fields within the boundary layer are discussed for two different flow situations, namely, flow with linear radiative heat and flow with non-linear radiative heat. It is found that an irregular heat source/sink (ESHS and THS) and non-linear solar radiation play a vital role in the enhancement of the temperature distributions.




Originality/value




The problem is relatively original to study the effects of activation energy and binary chemical reaction along with a novel exponential space-based heat source on laminar boundary flow past a stretched plate in the presence of non-linear Rosseland radiative heat.

Exploration of activation energy and binary chemical reaction effects on nano Casson fluid flow with thermal and exponential space-based heat source

Nonlinear convective flow of magneto-Carreau-Casson liquids past a deformable surface under the aspects of heterogeneous and homogeneous reactions is investigated. The present phenomenon also included the interaction of nonlinear radiation, Ohmic and Joule dissipations. At moderate to high temperature, the nonlinear convection and radiation are significant. The governed nonlinear system is illustrated numerically via Runge-Kutta based shooting scheme in the domain [ 0 , ∞ ) . Role of significant parameters on flow fields as well as on the fiction factor, heat and mass transportation rates are determined and discussed in depth. Comparison is done for distinct flow fields of Carreau and Casson fluids. It is evaluated that the velocities of Casson liquid are higher in comparison to Carreau fluid model. However, liquid temperature for Casson fluid model is weaker in comparison to Carreau fluid.

Nonlinear Radiative Flow of Casson Nanoliquid Past a Cone and Wedge with Magnetic Dipole: Mathematical Model of Renewable Energy

Three-dimensional mixed convection flow, heat and mass transfer of Eyring-powell fluid over a convectively heated stretched sheet is inspected in this paper. The encouragement of Brownian motion, Thermophoresis and thermal radiations are accounted. Appropriate transformations are used to reduce the principal PDE’s into set of coupled highly non-linear ODE’s which are then solved numerically using RKF fourth-fifth order method. The consequence of several parameters on flow, heat and mass transfer characteristics are deliberated with the help of graphs and tables. It is observed that, the temperature and concentration profiles diminish for higher values mixed convection parameter.

Mixed Convection 3D Radiating Flow and Mass Transfer of Eyring-Powell Nanofluid with Convective Boundary Condition

Nonlinear thermal convection in heat and mass transfer mechanism of dissipating Jeffrey liquid is investigated. The impact of cross diffusion and convective conditions are also accounted. Before integrating pertinent partial differential equations; a set similarity variables are employed to reduce them into multidegree ordinary differential equations. The validation process comprised a comparison with existing data, reaching an excellent agreement. Later, the influence of distinct physical parameters on diverse flow characteristics are comprehensively discussed and analyzed. It is established that the nonlinear convection is favourable for the escalation of the thickness of momentum boundary layer. Further, the convective conditions are used as controlling constraints.
