Clinical characterization and Genomic analysis of COVID-19 breakthrough infections during second wave in different states of India

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors collected 677 clinical samples (throat swab/ nasal swabs) of individuals who had received two doses (n=592) and one dose (n =85) of vaccines (Covishield and Covaxin) and tested positive for COVID-19, from 17 states/Union Territories of India.

Phylogeography of Kyasanur Forest Disease virus in India (1957-2017) reveals evolution and spread in the Western Ghats region.

TL;DR: The findings indicate the need to curtail the spread of KFDV by surveillance measures and improved vaccination strategies and significant evidence of adaptive evolution at site 123 A/T located in the vicinity of the envelope protein dimer interface may have functional implications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation of a novel adenovirus from Rousettus leschenaultii bats from India.

TL;DR: Partial sequence analysis of the DNA polymerase gene shows this isolate to be a newly recognized member of the genus Mastadenovirus (family Adenoviridae), approximately 20% divergent at the nucleotide level from Japanese BatAdV, its closest known relative.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever serosurvey in humans for identifying high-risk populations and high-risk areas in the endemic state of Gujarat, India.

TL;DR: The seropositivity for CCHF in the state was low as compared to other endemic countries, and circulation and under diagnoses of CCHfV in the naïve regions of Gujarat is suggested.
