Low metabolic activity in primary gastric adenocarcinoma is associated with resistance to chemoradiation and the presence of signet ring cells
Kazuto Harada,Kazuto Harada,Madhavi Patnana,Xuemei Wang,Masaaki Iwatsuki,Masaaki Iwatsuki,Mariela A. Blum Murphy,Meina Zhao,Prajnan Das,Bruce D. Minsky,Brian Weston,Jeffrey H. Lee,Manoop S. Bhutani,Jeannelyn S. Estrella,Namita Shanbhag,Naruhiko Ikoma,Brian D. Badgwell,Jaffer A. Ajani +17 more
TL;DR: A high SUV max was associated with sensitivity to chemoradiation and pCR in GAC, and signet ring cells seemed to confer resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI
ECOG-ACRIN Guideline for Contouring and Treatment of Early Stage Anal Cancer Using IMRT/IGRT.
Nicholas J. Damico,Joshua E. Meyer,Prajnan Das,James D. Murphy,Eric D. Miller,Bridget F. Koontz,William J. Hall,Mary McBride,G Pereira,Paul J. Catalano,A. Bapsi Chakravarthy,Peter J. O'Dwyer,Jennifer A. Dorth +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , a contouring atlas and radiation treatment recommendations for the ongoing, randomized phase II trial of deintensified chemoradiation for early stage SCCA (EA2182) was created by an expert panel of radiation oncologists.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of laparoscopy versus mini-laparotomy for jejunostomy placement in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma.
Catherine H. Davis,Naruhiko Ikoma,Paul F. Mansfield,Prajnan Das,Bruce D. Minsky,Mariela A. Blum,Jaffer A. Ajani,Barbara L. Bass,Brian D. Badgwell +8 more
TL;DR: A retrospective cohort study was performed of patients with gastric adenocarcinoma receiving laparoscopic versus mini-laparotomy FJ at a single tertiary referral center from 2000 to 2018, finding Laparoscopic FJ placement has lower overall morbidity and length of stay compared to mini- laparotomy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemotherapy Versus Chemotherapy Plus Chemoradiation as Preoperative Therapy for Resectable Gastric Adenocarcinoma: A Propensity Score-Matched Analysis of a Large, Single-Institution Experience.
Casey J. Allen,Alisa N. Blumenthaler,Grace L. Smith,Prajnan Das,Bruce D. Minsky,Mariela A. Blum,Jaffer A. Ajani,Paul F. Mansfield,Naruhiko Ikoma,Brian D. Badgwell +9 more
TL;DR: Compared with CT, CRT for resectable gastric adenocarcinoma is associated with higher rates of pathologic complete response and subsequent lower final pathologic stage, but survival differences are not significant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving efficiency and reducing costs of MRI-Guided prostate brachytherapy using Time-Driven Activity-Based costing
Gordon Gillespie,Nikhil G. Thaker,Rajat J. Kudchadker,James R. Incalcaterra,Tharakeswara K. Bathala,Robert S. Kaplan,Ankit Agarwal,Deborah A. Kuban,Benjamin D. Frank,Prajnan Das,Thomas W. Feeley,Steven J. Frank +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors applied standard QI and TDABC methods to improve workflow efficiency and reduce costs for MRI-guided prostate brachytherapy, and found that the highest cost components at baseline were the operating room (OR), imaging (8.7%), and consultation (7.6%).
