Book ChapterDOI

13 Nonparametric preliminary test inference

TL;DR: The main objective of the chapter is to focus on some recent developments in the area of nonparametric preliminary test inference (NPTI) based on a broad class of rank order statistics and derived estimators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regression quantiles in nonparametric regression

TL;DR: In a nonparametric setup involving stochastic regressors, regression quantiles relate to the so-called conditional quantile functions and various asymptotic properties of such quantile processes are studied with due emphasis on the underlying design aspects as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multiple Hypothesis Testing for Experimental Gingivitis Based on Wilcoxon Signed Rank Statistics.

TL;DR: This work reviews univariate and multivariate nonparametric hypothesis tests and applies them to longitudinal data to assess changes over time in 31 biomarkers measured from the gingival crevicular fluid in 22 subjects whereby gingivitis was induced by temporarily withholding tooth brushing.
