Journal ArticleDOI
PKC412 inhibits in vitro growth of neoplastic human mast cells expressing the D816V-mutated variant of KIT: comparison with AMN107, imatinib, and cladribine (2CdA) and evaluation of cooperative drug effects
Karoline V. Gleixner,Matthias Mayerhofer,Matthias Mayerhofer,Karl J. Aichberger,Karl J. Aichberger,Sophia Derdak,Sophia Derdak,Karoline Sonneck,Karoline Sonneck,Alexandra Böhm,Alexandra Böhm,Alexander Gruze,Alexander Gruze,Puchit Samorapoompichit,Puchit Samorapoompichit,Paul W. Manley,Paul W. Manley,Doriano Fabbro,Doriano Fabbro,Winfried F. Pickl,Winfried F. Pickl,Christian Sillaber,Christian Sillaber,Peter Valent,Peter Valent +24 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the novel TK-targeting drugs PKC412 and AMN107 counteract TK activity of D8 16V KIT and inhibit the growth of Ba/F3 cells with doxycycline-inducible expression of KIT D816V as well as the growthof primary neoplastic mast cells and HMC-1 cells harboring this KIT mutation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Response of L-929 Fibroblasts, Human Gingival Fibroblasts, and Human Tissue Mast Cells to Various Metal Cations
A Schedle,Puchit Samorapoompichit,Xiaohui Rausch-Fan,Alexander Franz,Wolfgang Füreder,Wolfgang R. Sperr,W. Sperr,A. Ellinger,R. Slavicek,George Boltz-Nitulescu,Peter Valent +10 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that various metal cations produce dose-dependent cytopathogenic effects in distinct cell types, including human gingival fibroblasts and human tissue mast cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of mast cell tryptase by myeloblasts in a group of patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
Wolfgang R. Sperr,John-Hendrik Jordan,Mehrdad Baghestanian,Hans-Peter Kiener,Puchit Samorapoompichit,Hans Semper,Alexander W. Hauswirth,Gerit-Holger Schernthaner,Andreas Chott,Susanne Natter,Dietrich Kraft,Rudolf Valenta,Lawrence B. Schwartz,Klaus Geissler,Klaus Lechner,Peter Valent +15 more
TL;DR: Together, tryptase is expressed in myeloblasts in a group of AML and may serve as a useful disease-related marker and return to normal or near normal values in AML patients with elevated serumtryptase before chemotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytotoxic effects of dental composites, adhesive substances, compomers and cements.
A Schedle,Alexander Franz,Xiaohui Rausch-Fan,Andreas Spittler,Trevor Lucas,Puchit Samorapoompichit,Wolfgang R. Sperr,George Boltz-Nitulescu +7 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that all dental materials tested are cytotoxic immediately after production and that these effects are reduced after different preincubation periods in most cases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergistic growth-inhibitory effects of two tyrosine kinase inhibitors, dasatinib and PKC412, on neoplastic mast cells expressing the D816V-mutated oncogenic variant of KIT
Karoline V. Gleixner,Matthias Mayerhofer,Karoline Sonneck,Alexander Gruze,Puchit Samorapoompichit,Christian Baumgartner,Francis Y. Lee,Karl J. Aichberger,Paul W. Manley,Doriano Fabbro,Winfried F. Pickl,Christian Sillaber,Peter Valent +12 more
TL;DR: The effects of the novel TK-inhibitor dasatinib alone and in combination with other targeted drugs on growth of neoplastic MC and of the MCL cell line, HMC-1, are examined.
