Monte Carlo simulation of photon migration in 3D turbid media accelerated by graphics processing units.

TL;DR: A parallel Monte Carlo algorithm accelerated by graphics processing units (GPU) for modeling time-resolved photon migration in arbitrary 3D turbid media renders the GPU-based Monte Carlo simulation a practical solution for data analysis in a wide range of diffuse optical imaging applications, such as human brain or small-animal imaging.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Tetrahedral mesh generation from volumetric binary and grayscale images

TL;DR: A general purpose mesh generator for creating finite-element surface or volumetric mesh from 31) binary or gray-scale medical images and demonstrates the applications of this toolbox for meshing a range of challenging geometries including complex vessel network, human brain and breast.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mesh-based Monte Carlo method using fast ray-tracing in Plücker coordinates

TL;DR: A fast mesh-based Monte Carlo (MC) photon migration algorithm for static and time-resolved imaging in 3D complex media and an efficient ray-tracing technique using Plücker Coordinates is implemented.
