Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Capsicum annuum L. extract

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of Capsicum annuum L. proteins on the formation of silver nanoparticles was investigated using X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), electrochemical measurements, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and differential spectrum techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Size- and Shape-Controlled Synthesis and Assembly of a Silver Nanocomplex in UV-Irradiated TSA Solution

TL;DR: In this paper, the reduction of silvernitrate (AgNO3) by UV-irradiated tungstosilicate acid [H4(SiW12O40), TSA] solution allows the synthesis of ellipsoidal particles with an average size that is tunable between 2.4 and 84 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Role of Escherichia coliform in the Biomineralization of Calcium Oxalate Crystals

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the common bacterium Escherichia coliform (E. coli) on the nucleation and growth of calcium oxalate (CaOxa) in aqueous solution is studied in order to determine its role in the biomineralization of urinary stones.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of rhombohedral strontium carbonate aggregates at the water/hexamethylene interface with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide

TL;DR: In this article, an unusual rhombohedral strontium carbonate (SrCO3) aggregates have been synthesized in situ by the slow release of carbon dioxide by alkaline hydrolysis of diethyl carbonate at the water/hexamethylene interface in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel biological strategy for morphology control of PbWO4 crystals in tomato extract.

TL;DR: PbWO(4) crystals were readily synthesized by reacting lead oxide with sodium tungstate at room temperature in the presence of tomato extract and room-temperature fluorescence spectra indicated the products had a slight blue shift compared to the solid structure.
