Iron nanoparticles: Synthesis and applications in surface enhanced Raman scattering and electrocatalysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the microemulsion method is employed to synthesize iron nanoparticles with an average size of ∽3 nm using trioctyl phosphine oxide (TOPO) as a stabilizing agent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal oxidation of Cu2S nanowires: A template method for the fabrication of mesoscopic CuxO (x = 1,2) wires
TL;DR: In this article, the thermal behavior of mesoscopic Cu2S nanowires has been studied in the presence of N2 and O2 and the results show that the S atoms in the Cu2O wires are completely removed by O2, forming CuxO wires mainly with x'='2'.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface-enhanced hyper-Raman and surface-enhanced Raman scattering from molecules adsorbed on nanoparticles-on-smooth-electrode (NOSE) substrate - I. Pyridine, pyrazine and benzene
TL;DR: In this paper, metal nanoparticles-on-smooth-electrode (NOSE) was used as the substrate in a potential-dependent surface-enhanced hyper-Raman (SEHRS), hyper-Rayleigh (SEHRyS) and Raman (SERS) study of adsorbed molecules of pyridine, pyrazine and benzene.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption behavior of C60 fullerene on golden crystal nanoparticles
TL;DR: The surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of C 60 adsorbed on aqueous gold colloid was reported for the first time in this paper, where the pyridine molecule was used as an intermediate to connect and fix the C 60 molecule to the surface of the golden crystal nanoparticle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Blue-green photoluminescence from pyridine-C60 adduct
TL;DR: In this paper, a bright blue-green photoluminescence from the brown C60/pyridine solution upon UV excitation was observed and the luminescence species was identified to be the zwitterionic adduct formed between pyridine and C60 as revealed by 1 H -NMR, mass spectra, and the solvatochromic effect of the photoluminant to protic solvent.
