Speckle shearing interferometry: a new method

TL;DR: The main methods of speckle shear interferometry include Michelson's interferometric arrangement, two or multiple apertures in conjunction with a lens and defocusing, and use of parallel plates and wedges in front of the lens with or without aperture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of defects in plates and diaphragms using a split-lens speckle-shearing interferometer

TL;DR: In this paper, a speckle-shearing interferometer was used to examine diaphragms and plates with a split lens both for imaging and shearing functions, and it was found that the location, shape and size of the defect could be ascertained accurately under certain conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Micro ED Milling of Ti-6Al-4V with SiC Nano Powder Mixed Dielectrics at Different Ranges of Discharge Energy

TL;DR: In this paper, an investigation is carried out by mixing SiC nano powders with dielectric media to enhance the rate of metal removal and surface finish, and the morphology of milled surface with plain /nano powder mixed dielectrics has also been analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tribological Behaviour of Grey Cast Iron–EN31 Steel Contact Under Sliding Conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the tribological behavior of grey cast iron and its counter face material (EN31 steel) under various environmental conditions was investigated, including dry, lubricated and heated conditions.
