Journal ArticleDOI

Investigating the microbial-influenced corrosion of UNS S32750 stainless-steel base alloy and weld seams by biofilm-forming marine bacterium Macrococcus equipercicus.

TL;DR: Results indicate that the thickness of the biofilm formed due to this bacterium increased and became heterogeneous with an increase in the exposure time, thereby resulting in micro-pits in UNS S32750 super-duplex stainless-steel joints.
Journal ArticleDOI

Graphene Mediated Drug Delivery - A Boon to Cancer Therapy

TL;DR: A summary of the studies carried out using graphene and its conjugates in the field of drug delivery and cancer therapy is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biofilm Formation by Pseudomonas Species Onto Graphene Oxide–TiO2 Nanocomposite-Coated Catheters: In vitro Analysis

TL;DR: The catheter coated with GO–TiO2 showed reduced biofilm growth in comparison to the TiO2-coated and uncoated catheter, thus indicating that it could be successfully used in coating biomedical devices to prevent biofilm formation which is a major cause of nosocomial infection.
Journal Article

Langmuir and Freundlich Isotherms for Describing Lead (II) Adsorption on Pretreated Macrofungus (Agaricus bisporus)

TL;DR: In this article, a study in batch system was conducted using the macrofungus Agaricus bisporus as biosorbent for evaluating its potentiality to adsorb lead (II) ions from aqueous solution.
