Journal ArticleDOI
Antifungal Susceptibility, Exoenzyme Production and Cytotoxicity of Novel Oximes against Candida
Juliana Leitzke Santos de Souza,Fernanda Nedel,Marina Ritter,Pedro Henrique de Azambuja Carvalho,Claudio M. P. Pereira,Rafael Guerra Lund +5 more
TL;DR: Novel oximes synthesized showed lower fungicidal activities than fluconazole but interfered significantly with the expression of phospholipase, which suggests that compounds of this class may interfere with host infection and disease progression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biofilms of cellulose and hydroxyapatite composites: Alternative synthesis process:
Cari Maristela Pieper,Wellington Da Rosa,Rafael Guerra Lund,Adriana Fernandes da Silva,Evandro Piva,Mabel Ms Salas,Mabel Ms Salas,Guilherme K. Maron,Mauricio R. D. Bomio,Fabiana V. Motta,N.L.V. Carreño +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new biofilm of cellulose coated with hydroxyapatite particles has been prepared using a simple, fast and low temperature process based on a microwave-assisted hydrothermal synthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-candida and anti-enzyme activity and cytotoxicity of 2-phenyl-4H-chromen-4-one
Simone Gomes Dias de Oliveira,Rafael Guerra Lund,Rodrigo Varella de Carvalho,Claudio M. P. Pereira,Evandro Piva +4 more
TL;DR: Data from this study provide evidence that 2-phenyl-4H-chromen-4-one could be an alternative source for the treatment of fungal infections caused by Candida, and values for phospholipase and proteinase before and after exposure of yeast to the compound had no statistical differences.
Journal ArticleDOI
How are children and adolescents cleaning their orthodontic appliances? A cross-sectional study in private schools
TL;DR: Use of ROA in students from private schools was low and the most used hygiene method was brushing with toothpaste, which was the frequency most reported by children.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cadernos de Saúde Pública
Fábio Garcia Lima,Rafael Guerra Lund,Lídia Morales Justino,Flávio Fernando Demarco,Francisco Augusto Burkert Del Pino,Rinaldo Ferreira +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors monitorar, mensalmente, the niveis de fluor in agua de abastecimento publico de Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, bem como verificar a validade da formacao de grupos de heterocontrole.
