Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrogen storage properties of B‐ and N‐doped microporous carbon

TL;DR: In this paper, Ru-supported B-and N-doped microporous carbon and a storage capacity of 1.2 wt % at 298 K and 10 MPa was obtained, showing an enhancement factor of 2.2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Nitrogen Compounds and Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons on Desulfurization of Liquid Fuels by Adsorption via π-Complexation with Cu(I)Y Zeolite

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of organonitrogen (quinoline, carbazole) and polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) compounds on desulfurization by π-complexation with Cu(I)Y zeolite was studied and found to be moderate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electronic structure methods applied to gas–carbon reactions

TL;DR: A review on the fundamental studies of gas-carbon reactions using electronic structure methods in the last several decades is given in this article, where three types of electronic structure method including semi-empirical, ab initio and density functional theory are briefly introduced first, followed by the studies on carbon reactions with hydrogen and oxygen-containing gases.
Journal ArticleDOI

The mode of attack of oxygen atoms on the basal plane of graphite

TL;DR: The formation of monolayer pits, as revealed by gold decoration, shows that anisotropy does exist as discussed by the authors, i.e., carbon atoms are preferentially attacked by atomic oxygen in the direction of a axes, rather than a c axis.
