A radar package for asteroid subsurface investigations: Implications of implementing and integration into the MASCOT nanoscale landing platform from science requirements to baseline design
Alain Herique,Dirk Plettemeier,Caroline Lange,Jan Thimo Grundmann,Valérie Ciarletti,Tra-Mi Ho,Wlodek Kofman,Benoit Agnus,Jun Du,Wenzhe Fa,Oriane Gassot,Ricardo Granados-Alfaro,Jerzy Grygorczuk,Ronny Hahnel,Christophe Hoarau,Martin Laabs,Christophe Le Gac,Marco Mutze,S. Rochat,Yves Rogez,Marta Tokarz,Petr Schaffer,André-Jean Vieau,Jens Biele,C. Buck,Jesus Gil Fernandez,Christian Krause,Raquel Rodriguez Suquet,Stephan Ulamec +28 more
TL;DR: The chosen instrumentation for radar science, baseline mission requirements and the initial design for integration into the lander platform, including all peculiarities and constraints are presented.
Gaussian Anamorphosis for Ensemble Kalman Filter Analysis of SAR-Derived Wet Surface Ratio Observations
Thanh H. Nguyen,Sophie Ricci,Andrea Piacentini,Ehouarn Simon,Raquel Rodriguez Suquet,Santiago Peña Luque +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , a dual state-parameter Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF) was applied to the 2D flood observations derived from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images acquired during a flood event.
Enhancing Flood Forecasting with Dual State-Parameter Estimation and Ensemble-based SAR Data Assimilation
Thanh H. Nguyen,Sophie Ricci,Andrea Piacentini,Raquel Rodriguez Suquet,Gwendoline Blanchet,Santiago Peña Luque,Peter Kettig +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors focus on the assimilation of 2D flood extent data, expressed in terms of wet surface ratio, in addition to the in-situ water level data.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
CFOSAT: Latest Improvements in the Swim Products and Contributions in Oceanography
Laura Hermozo,Raquel Rodriguez Suquet,Cedric Tourain,Danièle Hauser,Patricia Schippers,Lotfi Aouf,Alice Dalphinet,Peter Sutherland,L. Marié,Amanda Gounou,Jean-François Poustis,Dunia Alraddawi,C. Dufour,Jean-Michel Lachiver,Céline Tison +14 more
TL;DR: For the first time, co-located wind vectors and wave spectral characteristics are available thanks to the French/Chinese CFOSAT mission, which includes a wind scatterometer SCAT and a wave scatterometer SWIM as mentioned in this paper .
Reducing Uncertainties of a Chained Hydrologic-hydraulic Model to Improve Flood Forecasting Using Multi-source Earth Observation Data
Thanh H. Nguyen,Sophie Ricci,Andrea Piacentini,Raquel Rodriguez Suquet,Santiago Peña Luque,Kevin Marlis,Cédric H. David +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , a chained hydrologic-hydraulic model is proposed to allow extended lead time forecasts and overcome the limits of forecast when using only observed gauge measurements, which aims at comprehensively reducing the uncertainties in the model parameters, hydraulic state and especially the forcing data in order to improve the overall flood reanalysis and forecast performance.
