Development and Use of a Conceptual Survey in Introductory Quantum Physics.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors constructed a valid and reliable multiple-choice conceptual survey to investigate students' understanding of introductory quantum physics concepts, which was administered to 312 students at the University of Sydney.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical Fiber, Nanomaterial, and THz-Metasurface-Mediated Nano-Biosensors: A Review

TL;DR: A comprehensive overview of the major achievements in nano-biosensors based on optical fiber, nanomaterials and terahertz-domain metasurface-based refractometric, labelled and label-free nano-biometrics can be found in this paper .
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of Interactive Lecture Demonstrations on students’ understanding of heat and temperature: a study from Thailand

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the effectiveness of interactive lecture demonstrations over traditional instruction on university students' understanding of heat and temperature concepts and find that students who were taught using Interactive Lecture Demonstrations had a better understanding of concepts than students taught using traditional instruction.
Journal ArticleDOI

A framework for laboratory pre-work based on the concepts, tools and techniques questioning method

TL;DR: In this paper, the concepts, tools and techniques questioning (CTTQ) method was used for laboratory pre-work at the University of Sydney to guide students' learning in the laboratory.

Developing a prototype conceptual survey in fundamental quantum physics

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of students in Thailand on a series of open-ended questions concerning some fundamental concepts in quantum physics was described. And the results from this study are being used to develop a conceptual survey in Quantum Physics.
