Journal ArticleDOI

Raman and infrared spectroscopic study of turquoise minerals.

TL;DR: Three well-defined turquoise samples, CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)8·4H2O, from Lavender Pit, Bisbee, Cochise county, Arizona; Kouroudaiko mine, Faleme river, Senegal and Lynch Station, Virginia were studied, interpreted and compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mid-infrared and near-infrared spectroscopic study of kaolinite-potassium acetate intercalation complex

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed analysis of the NIR region is performed by comparing the first overtone (2 ν OH ) and combination ( ν ǫ+ǫ ) OH bands with the fundamental stretching (λ ) and bending (λ) vibrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Raman microscopy of selected autunite minerals

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Raman spectroscopy at ambient and liquid nitrogen temperature to determine the molecular structure of selected minerals from the autunite and meta-autunite groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electronic and vibrational spectra of gaspeite

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic properties of Magnesian gaspeite have been investigated in terms of the cation co-ordination and the behaviour of CO 3 2 -anion in the Ni-Mg carbonate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal Stability of newberyite Mg(PO3OH)·3H2O

TL;DR: The mineral newberyite Mg(PO3OH)·3H2O was found to decompose at 145 °C with a water loss of 31.96%, a result which is very close to the theoretical value as mentioned in this paper.
