Journal ArticleDOI
Wnt5a Signaling in Cancer
TL;DR: Findings regarding the molecular mechanisms and roles of Wnt5a signaling in various cancer types are reviewed, and Wnt 5a in ovarian cancer is highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modeling the effect of ascites-induced compression on ovarian cancer multicellular aggregates.
Yuliya Klymenko,Rebecca B. Wates,Holly E. Weiss-Bilka,Rachel Lombard,Yueying Liu,Leigh Campbell,Oleg Kim,Oleg Kim,Diane R. Wagner,Matthew J. Ravosa,M. Sharon Stack +10 more
TL;DR: Development of new in vitro model systems with which to evaluate cellular responses to compression enables experimental modeling of the intraperitoneal force environment of ovarian cancer patients with tense ascites.
Modeling the effect of ascites-induced compression on ovarian cancer multicellular aggregates
Yuliya Klymenko,Rebecca B. Wates,Holly E. Weiss-Bilka,Rachel Lombard,Yueying Liu,Leigh Campbell,Oleg Kim,Oleg Kim,Diane R. Wagner,Matthew J. Ravosa,M. Sharon Stack +10 more
TL;DR: A Flexcell Compression Plus system was used to enable longer-term compression of MCAs in custom-designed hydrogel carriers, which showed changes in the expression of genes related to epithelial-mesenchymal transition as well as altered dispersal of compressed MCAs on collagen gels as mentioned in this paper.
