TCR signal initiation machinery is pre‐assembled and activated in a subset of membrane rafts
Philippe Drevot,Claire Langlet,Xiao-Jun Guo,Anne-Marie Bernard,Odile Colard,Jean-Paul Chauvin,Rémi Lasserre,Hai-Tao He +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated, using a polyoxyethylene ether Brij 98, that detergent‐insoluble microdomains possessing the expected biochemical characteristics of rafts are present in the cell membrane at 37°C, providing further evidence for the existence of rafting under physiological conditions and the basis of a new isolation method allowing more accurate analyses of raft structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Raft nanodomains contribute to Akt/PKB plasma membrane recruitment and activation
Rémi Lasserre,Xiao-Jun Guo,Fabien Conchonaud,Fabien Conchonaud,Yannick Hamon,Yannick Hamon,Omar Hawchar,Omar Hawchar,Anne-Marie Bernard,Anne-Marie Bernard,Saïdi M. Soudja,Saïdi M. Soudja,Pierre-François Lenne,Pierre-François Lenne,Hervé Rigneault,Hervé Rigneault,Daniel Olive,Georges Bismuth,Georges Bismuth,Jacques A. Nunès,Bernard Payrastre,Bernard Payrastre,Didier Marguet,Didier Marguet,Hai-Tao He,Hai-Tao He +25 more
TL;DR: It is reported here that highly dynamic nanodomains exist in both the outer and inner leaflets of the plasma membrane and it is demonstrated that rafts are critically involved in the activation of a signaling axis that is essential for cell physiology.

Light-inducible T cell engagers trigger, tune and shape the activation of primary T cells
Morgane Jaeger,Amandine Anastasio,Sophie Brustlein,Renaud Vincentelli,Fabien Durbesson,Remy Char,Maud Boussand,Mathias Lechelon,Rafael J. Argüello,Didier Marguet,Hai-Tao He,Rémi Lasserre +11 more
TL;DR: The Light-inducible T cell engager (LiTe) system as mentioned in this paper is a recombinant optogenetics-based molecular tool targeting the T Cell Receptor (TCR), which constitutes a reversible molecular switch displaying exquisite reactivity.
Is red blood cell a simple capsule?
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compare the capsule (C) and vesicle (V) models with models that distinguish the lipid bilayer (BL) and the cytoskeleton (SC).
