Journal ArticleDOI

miRNAs regulate the HIF switch during hypoxia: a novel therapeutic target.

TL;DR: The significance of the microRNAs on the relationship between the HIFs under both physiological and pathophysiological conditions is reviewed and miRNAs that endogenously regulate gene expression via the RNA interference pathway are shown to play critical roles in the hypoxia response pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI

The hypoxia-inducible miR-429 regulates hypoxia-inducible factor- 1α expression in human endothelial cells through a negative feedback loop

TL;DR: RNA‐sequencing‐based transcriptome analysis indicated that inhibition of miRNA‐429 in HUVECs up‐regulated 209 mRNAs, a number of which regulate angiogenesis, and this regulatory network helps explain the Hif‐1 transition to HIF‐2 during chronic hypoxia in endothelial cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regulation of angiogenesis by hypoxia: the role of microRNA.

TL;DR: Although hypoxia and ischemia change the expression profile of many miRNAs, a functional role for a limited number of so-called hypoxamiRs has been demonstrated in angiogenesis and this work discusses the best examples that illustrate the role of hypoxAMIRs inAngiogenesis.
Journal Article

Comparative analysis of phenolic acids in mistletoe plants from various hosts.

TL;DR: Qualitative and quantitative composition of mistletoes hosted by Malus domestica and Pyrus communis showed considerable similarities as far as phenolic acids were concerned and vanillic acid, absent in all other batches of plant material, seemed to be characteristic of the above mistle toes.
