Improved protein structure prediction using potentials from deep learning
Andrew W. Senior,Richard Evans,John M. Jumper,James Kirkpatrick,Laurent Sifre,Tim Green,Chongli Qin,Augustin Žídek,Alexander Nelson,Alex Bridgland,Hugo Penedones,Stig Petersen,Karen Simonyan,Steve Crossan,Pushmeet Kohli,David T. Jones,David T. Jones,David Silver,Koray Kavukcuoglu,Demis Hassabis +19 more
TL;DR: It is shown that a neural network can be trained to make accurate predictions of the distances between pairs of residues, which convey more information about the structure than contact predictions, and the resulting potential can be optimized by a simple gradient descent algorithm to generate structures without complex sampling procedures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly accurate protein structure prediction for the human proteome
Kathryn Tunyasuvunakool,Jonas Adler,Zachary Wu,Tim Green,Michal Zielinski,Augustin Žídek,Alex Bridgland,Andrew Cowie,Clemens Meyer,Agata Laydon,Sameer Velankar,Gerard J. Kleywegt,Alex Bateman,Richard Evans,Alexander Pritzel,Michael Figurnov,Olaf Ronneberger,Russell Bates,Simon A. A. Kohl,Anna Potapenko,Andrew J. Ballard,Bernardino Romera-Paredes,Stanislav Nikolov,R. D. Jain,Ellen Clancy,David Reiman,Stig Petersen,Andrew W. Senior,Koray Kavukcuoglu,Ewan Birney,Pushmeet Kohli,John M. Jumper,Demis Hassabis +32 more
TL;DR: The AlphaFold2 dataset as discussed by the authors is a large-scale and high-accuracy structure prediction dataset for protein structures, which is used to evaluate the structural properties of proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI
A new class of ligand-gated ion channel defined by P2x receptor for extracellular ATP.
Soledad Valera,N. Hussy,Richard Evans,Nadia Adami,R. Alan North,Annmarie Surprenant,G. Buell +6 more
TL;DR: A complementary DNA encoding of the P2x receptor from rat vas deferens is cloned and expressed in Xenopus oocytes and mammalian cells, defining a new family of ligand-gated ion channels.
Posted ContentDOI
Protein complex prediction with AlphaFold-Multimer
Richard Evans,Michael J. O'Neill,Alexander Pritzel,Natasha Antropova,Andrew W. Senior,Tim Green,Augustin Žídek,Russell Bates,Sam Blackwell,Jason Yim,Olaf Ronneberger,Sebastian Bodenstein,Michal Zielinski,Alex Bridgland,Anna Potapenko,Andrew Cowie,Kathryn Tunyasuvunakool,R. D. Jain,Ellen Clancy,Pushmeet Kohli,John M. Jumper,Demis Hassabis +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, an AlphaFold model trained specifically for multimeric inputs of known stoichiometry was proposed, which significantly increases the accuracy of predicted multimimeric interfaces over input-adapted single-chain AlphaFolds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Blockchain-based electronic healthcare record system for healthcare 4.0 applications
TL;DR: An Access Control Policy Algorithm for improving data accessibility between healthcare providers is proposed, assisting in the simulation of environments to implement the Hyperledger-based eletronic healthcare record (EHR) sharing system that uses the concept of a chaincode.
