TL;DR: Efficient transmission of a 25 Gbit/s single-carrier with the proposed FDE is demonstrated under severe chromatic dispersion conditions and the results show that an SC with the suggested FDE are very tolerant of CD in spite of having no GI and can achieve higher transmission rates than those of conventional FDE with GI.
